1946 Vines Lovedale Vineyard Semillon
Wine
Mount Pleasant 1946 Vines Lovedale Vineyard Semillon is sourced from a single Hunter Valley site established by Mount Pleasant's founder, Maurice O'Shea, in 1946.
It was with a firm belief in regional definition and single vineyard wines – as well as a thorough understanding of the Hunter Valley landscape – that Maurice O'Shea planted the famed Lovedale vineyard.
The grapes are handpicked in the early morning. After destemming and pressing, only the finest free run juice is retained. It is settled, racked and inoculated for cold fermentation over 14 days. The wine is fined before bottling.
Pale straw green, Mount Pleasant 1946 Vines Lovedale Vineyard Semillon showcases intense citrus flavours in balance with precise acidity. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
